Hear.Think.Speak Audiology are pleased to provide Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) assessments and APD Therapy.
Sheridan is a Qualified Service Provider (QSP) of CAPDOTS-Integrated, a CAPD Online Therapy System that aims to improved binaural integration deficits. This APD therapy is indicated for integrative dichotic listening challenges and atypical interaural asymmetry.
Sheridan is a Sound Storm Gold Accredited Audiologist. If your child is diagnosed with Spatial Processing Disorder, Sheridan will guide you and your child through their fun and engaging remediation program.
Sheridan is trained in the delivery of auditory training programs developed by Acoustic Pioneer. These incredibly fun and highly engaging programs support dichotic listening, auditory memory and temporal processing skills.
Hear.Think.Speak Audiology provide personal listening device fittings for children diagnosed with an Auditory Processing Disorder or children who demonstrate measurable difficulty listening in challenging environments.

We are thrilled to offer assessment and post-operative Audiology care for patients who have conductive, mixed or single sided deafness (SSD) who would benefit from an implantable device.
We will collaborate with your ENT Specialist and other partners such as Hearing Australia to ensure your device is maintained and keep you connected to the people, places and spaces around you.
Hear.Think.Speak Audiology are also able to provide loan bone conduction devices to children and adults who experience temporary conductive hearing loss. This is incredibly helpful where:
a child is waiting for surgical intervention and parents would like improved access to sound whilst they await their surgery date, particularly if they wish to support ongoing speech and language development
a child is unable to have surgery or family prefer not to have surgery, and parents would like improved access to sound for their child while we monitor their hearing and ear health for signs of improvement
an adult who has experienced a temporary conductive hearing loss and who needs improved access to sound to support work, education or social commitments

Hear.Think.Speak Audiology are thrilled to announce they are approved to deliver Audiology care through the Hearing Services Program.
This is a major milestone for the clinic. We are now able to provide hearing care to clients across their entire lifespan.
Patients can now access evidence-based, caring and ethical hearing device services in a private, independent clinic.
We look forward to providing hearing devices to privately funded individuals as well as participants of the Hearing Services Program.

Appointment fee $172.50 (45 minutes)
Please book a 45-minute appointment if you or your child are 1 years of age or older.
For children who have not yet celebrated their first birthday, please book a Long Consultation as we will need two professionals to assess your child’s hearing and ear health.
Hear.Think.Speak Audiology will send you an electronic new patient form to complete prior to attending your first appointment. Completing this before you arrive helps us to focus on you and your hearing and communication goals during the appointment.
We allocate 45-minutes which includes the appointment and documentation time. A detailed report will be emailed to you within 5 working days.

We book Long Consultations for
- Children who have not yet had their first birthday
- Children who have had an initial consultation and require two Audiologists to support testing at their next appointment
- Adult patients where we agree additional testing is required or where critical conversations occur that require additional time
If you had originally booked a new or review patient appointment, we will discuss whether to pause and rebook on a separate date or continue and convert to a long consultation.
We allocate 60 minutes which includes your appointment and documentation time. A detailed report will be emailed to you within 5 working days.

Thank you for your bravery in booking in to discuss your Tinnitus.
When you book a Tinnitus Assessment, we will email you Tinnitus specific questions to complete prior to attending your appointment.
In clinic, you will undergo a detailed hearing assessment. We explore your hearing, ear health and Tinnitus history and develop a management plan specific to your needs.
Expect a 90-minute consultation and a copy of your report emailed within 5 business days.
Subsequent appointments are also 90-minutes, and a summary report is provided once your tinnitus care has concluded.

We assess auditory processing skills from 5 years of age onwards.
Some specialist tests are not available until children reach 6, 7 or 8 years of age. We will guide you through what tests are available to your child at their current age.2

Appointment 3 fee $230 (60 minutes)
You will be sent questionnaires to complete prior to the first appointment. These provide critical information about how the person undergoing the APD assessment is performing out in the real World.
At appointment one, we work through a detailed peripheral hearing assessment to rule out any conditions that may be impacting on hearing and listening. We then move to the APD specific tests.
At the second appointment, additional tests are completed to confirm the presence of an APD of Listening Difficulty (LiD).
The final appointment brings us together to discuss the results of the assessment, plan for management or remediation and complete an in-clinic trial for a personal listening device.

Over 90 minutes, you will have the opportunity to road test multiple brands of hearing devices.
Every manufacturer sounds different and only you will know which sounds best.
Your favourite hearing device is then ordered for you to trial at home. It’s essential that you test how your hearing device sounds in the real world. We want you to experience listening through the device in all aspects of your life.
Making the decision to purchase a hearing device is an important one. We will support you to consider your hearing and communication goals, your style and your budget preferences.

Post-operative MAPping Appointments are Bulk Billed for Medicare eligible patients (90-minutes)
Hear.Think.Speak Audiology now accepts adult cochlear implant patients (patients who have finished secondary school and older).
Hear.Think.Speak Audiology support clients to find the hearing device that best matches their hearing loss and supports them to meet their communication goals. For some patients, this means moving from an acoustic hearing device to a cochlear implant.
Patient’s can undertake cochlear implant candidacy assessment and receive ongoing Audiology care after surgery.

We will connect you with cochlear implantees to explore their lived experiences, we encourage your loved ones to attend as many appointments as possible to develop their understanding of the cochlear implant journey and we support you to engage in auditory training, to ensure that you optimise your hearing and listening experience through your cochlear implant.
