Fee Schedule
-
$275 (single appointment)
$495 (two appointments)
We assess auditory processing skills from 5 years of age onwards.
Some specialist tests are not available until children reach 6, 7 or 8 years of age. We will guide you through what tests are available to your child at their current age.
All APD appointments start with a phone consultation to take the case history. This allows us to maximise our time together when we meet face to face for testing.
You will be sent questionnaires to complete prior to the first appointment. These provide critical information about how the person undergoing the APD assessment is performing out in the real World.
At the clinic, we work through a standard hearing assessment to rule out any conditions that may be impacting on hearing and listening. We then move to the APD specific tests.
A second appointment will generally be scheduled to complete any outstanding tests or to repeat testing as a cross-check to confirm the presence of an APD.
For APD appointment one, expect a phone consultation, questionnaire distribution and analysis, standard Audiology assessment, initial APD specific assessment and a full report if Spatial Processing Disorder is measured.
For APD appointment two, expect completion of any outstanding APD tests or a cross-check of tests to confirm the presence of an APD, management and remediation planning.
